Holy Garments for Glory (1)

“You shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty”.

-God (Exodus 28:2)

 

Context

God gave Moses very specific instructions for the sons of Israel after saying, “Let them construct a sanctuary for Me, that I may dwell among them”. Aaron was appointed by God to be a priest and this verse is the start of instructions about how to make the holy garments.

 

Thoughts

I think these garments are a reflection of God’s glory and a display of reverence for God. What picture comes to mind of holy garments today?
