God’s Glory – Remembered

“You said, ‘Behold, the LORD our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, yet he lives.”

-Moses (Deuteronomy 5:24)

 

Context

The Israelites’ 40 year journey through the wilderness was coming to an end and Moses recounted their 40 years with the LORD. This verse is reminding them of what they said at Herob the day that Moses went up the mountain and receive the 10 commandments.

 

Thoughts

I think Moses wanted to be sure they remembered their own testimony. That they saw with their own eyes and heard with their own ears. Have you been an eye witness to God’s glory and greatness? How would you describe that today?
