Glory of the LORD – Appears (1)

Moses said, “This is the thing which the LORD has commanded you to do, that the glory of the LORD may appear to you.”

-Moses (Leviticus 9:6)

Context

Aaron and his sons (Nadab and Abihu, Leviticus 10:1) had just completed seven days and nights at the doorway, inside the tent of meeting to complete their ordination. This verse begins at day number eight, when Moses instructs Aaron about the sacrifices to be made for himself and the people, and Aaron does what is instructed (Leviticus 9:22).

Thoughts

I think this is Aaron taking on the priest responsibilities after being ordained, and Moses is instructing him in obedience ‘that the glory of the LORD may appear to you (Aaron).’ I wonder if Aaron had any expectation of what His glory would look like.

Do you think the glory of the LORD appears to us today? If yes, in what ways?
