Glory – Praise!

“Glory in His holy name;
Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.”

-David (1 Chronicles 16:10)

Context

After defeating the Philistines twice, at the clear instruction of the LORD (2 Sa 5:17-25, 1 Ch 14:8-17), David, with the elders of Israel and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD from the house of Obed-edom with joy (1 Ch 15:25) to the city of David.

Thoughts

There was physical victory over the Philistines in obeying God’s instructions. I think there is also a spiritual victory in their freedom to praise and rejoice in His holy name.

What does this glory mean to you? Being a verb or an action word, how do you do that?
