Glory of the LORD – In the Cloud

“It came about as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the sons of Israel,

that they looked toward the wilderness, and behold,

the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud”.

-Moses (Exodus 16:10)

 

Context

Moses told Aaron to say, “come near before the LORD, for He has heard your grumblings:, and as he spoke, that’s when they all saw the glory of the LORD in the cloud!

God then told Moses what to tell the people about having enough food of quail in the evening and bread in the morning,”…and you shall know that I am the LORD your God”.

 

Thoughts

I think that God responded to their grumblings in powerful and undeniable ways;

  • Used Moses and Aaron to give instruction about their food,
  • Delivered their bread by raining it from heaven, and
  • Confirmed His Word and Presence in a cloud they could all see!
