Glory of the LORD – In the Cloud

(v. 10) “It happened that when the priests came from the holy place, the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

(v.11) so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.”

-Jerimiah (1 Kings 8:10-11)

 

Context

The ark of the covenant of the LORD was moved from the city of David to the new temple that King Solomon had built. Before the priests placed it in the inner sanctuary of the temple, all the congregation of Israel was gathered together with Solomon.

 

Thoughts

I think that God made it clear He was there. Visually, a cloud that could not be misunderstood inside the house of the LORD and physically, His Presence so powerful that the priests could not stand! Does God show us today that he is here with us? If yes, in what ways?
